The Immigration Act and Regulations are complex for a person who does not work with it daily. We consult and apply at The Department of Trade and Industry to get their approval first, then at the Department of Home Affairs for the visa.

Activities Visa under Section 11(1)(b)(4)

This category is created for various short and long terms visas, depending on the scenario. There is a short description of options as below but it is always good practice to speak to a professional to assist you as each visa category or sub category has it own pitfalls that need to be addressed to make sure you have the highest rate of success.

Relatives Visa

We all (or most of us) have relatives in another country, and if possible, we would like to visit our relatives. We can apply for this type of visa from inside of South-Africa or from outside of South-Africa.

There is a limitation of only 1st and 2nd step of kinship. This means that you can only receive this visa if your Father, Mother, Brother or Sister is a South-African Citizen or Permanent Resident holder. No other family members will be allowed.

The lineage alone is not the only requirement, we need to consult to make sure all the other requirements can be proven beyond a shadow of a doubt.

Study Visa

South-Africa has a great tertiary education structure that is internationally recognized. We understand what the Department of Home Affairs is looking for so you as the applicant can have the highest possible rate of approval.

It is very important to know if the study institution you want to study at is recognized and accredited, if not, then no visa will be granted. Only institutions who are registered and accredited by the Department of Education may be used to apply for a visa. Please note, that to study at UNISA will not grant you a study visa as it is seen as a distance learning institution and is needed to be done physically in South-Africa.

Medical Treatment Visa

Medical and Health Care facilities in South-Africa are world class and a lot of foreign national utilize the private health care facilities. Health care is less expensive due to the South-African exchange rate.

Visas issued under this category may be issued only for 6 months at a time but is extendable on merit of the case as per a motivation from the Health Care Practitioner. We will consult and assist you to get the correct motivation and supporting documents from your Health Care Practitioner to make sure in this urgent time you do not need to stress about a visa.

Visitor Visas and Extensions

South-Africa is a great holiday destination with the most breathtaking Natural Beauty. Starting from the Western-Cape with Table Mountain, The Winelands, Breathtaking Beaches, to the Kruger National Park Game Reserves and so much more.

There is almost never enough time to visit al these places to experience the beauty and uniqueness the country has to offer. In most cases we will be able to assist you to extend your holiday stay for 3 months at a time. There are specific conditions depending on what country you are from and we will be happy to assist you to make an extension as hassle free as possible.

Retired Persons Visa

This visa category is for those who have the financial means to retire in this beautify country. We have been fortunate to have 100% success rate on this since we have opened our company back in 2007.

The basis is simplistic but there are some assurances needed to prove the claim. The amount of R37 000.00 must be proven on a monthly basis, for life. If this can be proven, then you are halfway there.

We will need to consult and look at the alternatives if you can prove the income via other methods.

Waivers

A Waiver is a request in the form of a motivation letter that we draft and send to the Director General of Home Affairs stating the reasons why we feel a specific or set of requirements must be relaxed or removed in order to apply for a visa.

There has to be merit in a case and we need to prove what and why. We have done this 100’s times and we normally get them approved, we obviously use our discretion and years of experience to decide if the application would work or not. For this we need all the information and reasons.

Normally we waive the restrictions to change status from inside South-Africa from Sec 11. (1) visas to any other that suits, Waive the Department of Labour Benchmarking Certificate requirement, SAQA requirements and many more as it varies from case to case.

As per the description we are able apply to have a sticker transferred if the 1st issued visa was lost, stolen or damaged. There is a list of requirements we need to provide to Home Affairs to prove to them the previous one was legit and issued correctly.

Good Cause Applications

When you have overstayed on a visa and need to extend the visa, there might be good enough reason to apply to be legalized in order to apply for a new visa.

Permanent Residence Applications

To qualify for Permanent Residence, you need to prove to the Department of Home Affairs that you have qualified as per the set requirements per category.

There are various categories with some inclusions and exclusions on time and requirements. The most common one is a Spousal, Life Partner and Relative categories.

Spousal and Life Partner need proof of 5 years Marriage or Relationship while a Relative basis via a parent is immediate with no time that needs to be proven. Unfortunately, if your sibling is the Permanent Residence holder then you do not qualify for Permanent Residence.

The various Work Visas categories function similar and the other categories can be discussed with us on a consultation basis.

V-List Removals

If you have been notified that your name has been v-listed by home affairs there may be good enough reason to restore your name in order to apply for a new visa.

Proof of Permanent Residence

Proof of Permanent Residence is needed when you apply for Citizenship and if you need to verify your status as permanent resident.

This process does take time, but it is also very important to have so we suggest applying for this if you do not have it at this point in time.

Rectifications of Permanent Residence

It does happen that errors may occur when a permit or visa is granted. To rectify any mistakes, we can assist with the application to have any visa or permanent residence documents rectified.

Citizenship Applications

These applications to Naturalized as a South-African Citizen we do at the Department of Home Affairs and not at VFS. Depending on the category you qualified under as Permanent Resident, we will assist with requirements and the application process.

As a rule, you have to wait 5 years after you have received your Permanent Residence to be able to apply for Citizenship.
